Why am I Going Through This, God?
YOU:

“Why am I going through this, God? I have prayed for months that my struggles will be over. I am tired of my life always being filled with turmoil. Will I ever get a break in this world?”

GOD:

“My Child, I have heard the cries of your heart. I am with you. I will never leave you nor forsake you. I am always by your side. I have called and have chosen you. You are precious to Me. I will lift you up through the struggles of life with My righteous right hand. Trust in Me.”

YOU:

“You just don’t understand, God. I am at the end of my rope. I cannot make it. I am financially in trouble. My family life is falling apart. I don’t have a job. I’ve lost a loved one. Every time I turn around, there is another hill to climb, another bridge to cross, another wall that blocks my way. I don’t know what else to do. I am tired, depressed, and without hope.”

GOD:

“My Child, I love you. I know and understand what you are going through. My Son faced the same trials you have. He knows your pain. He experienced everything you are going through. During His time on earth, He experienced what it was like to go hungry. He experienced what it was like to not have a home. He experienced what it was like to not have money. He experienced what it was like to lose friends and loved ones. He also experienced what it was like to lose His life.’

“Do not be discouraged. Do not be afraid. I have not forgotten you. Come to My Son, My Child, when you are weary and are carrying your heavy burdens. He will not promise to take away all the pain you are going through. However, He will give you rest in your struggles. He will give you strength. He will give you peace. Stop carrying your burdens alone. Trust in Him. Trust in Me. The heart of My Son is drawn to you. He loves you. He died for you so you can be freed from the penalty of sin. Since He was willing to die for you, do you not think He will take care of the struggles you are going through in this life? Trust Me. I will take care of you. Never forget, My grace will always be sufficient for everything you are going through. Do not give up. Do not lose hope. I am here. I am by your side. I am your God.”

My friends, please meditate on these passages and never forget that God’s promises are always true. God bless you.

Psalm 34:17-18

The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

Deuteronomy 31:8

Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.

Isaiah 41:9-10

I have called you back from the ends of the earth, saying, ‘You are my servant.’ For I have chosen you and will not throw you away. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Hebrews 4:14-16

So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

Matthew 11:28-30

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

2 Corinthians 12:8-10

Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
